MIDWEEK SAID MASS: Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. – in St Peter’s Chapel

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE: This Wednesday evening at 7.30 p.m.

CONFIRMATION: The Bishop of Lewes is holding a Confirmation Service here at St Johns TODAY, 26th February at 4 pm. All welcome! Come and support our candidates, and those from other local churches, as they make this big step in their faith journey!

“OPEN CHURCH”: Friday and Saturday morning, 10 – 12:00. Pop in for a cuppa, to light a candle or just look round.

SUNDAY EVENING SERVICES IN LENT: … will take place at 5 p.m. every Sunday. These will not be Eucharistic, but will vary in format each week, based on the theme of “Favourite Bible Characters”. Please do come along! They will be an opportunity to have time with God in worship, prayer and reflection.

LENT COURSE: This year’s course will take place on Wednesdays through Lent at 7:30 p.m. in the All Saints Room…

FRANK JENKINS’ FUNERAL will be at Hastings Crematorium at 11 a.m. THIS TUESDAY, 21st February. Please do attend to support the family and say farewell to Frank. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Johns in the Spring….

BURNS NIGHT: A huge thank you to all who came to the Burns Supper. It was a great evening of good food and great dancing! Thank you! A huge thanks to those who cooked, decorated the hall and read poems. A special thank you to Val Harvey for organising and leading the Scottish Dancing!

SOUND SYSTEM: Thanks to all who have given positive feedback about the improvements to the sound system. This includes those using hearing aids, who have reported good clarity and volume with the induction loop system. Last week we had the engineers back to sort out the interference noticed when the organ is playing. Solving this has meant a further upgrade of the amplifier/mixer unit. We may have to adjust volume levels in the next few services as we get used to this equipment. This and other possible improvements will be reviewed by the PCC at their next meeting later this mont…
